BAD TRAIT

Pride is inordinate self-esteem, an unreasonable feeling of superiority as to one’s talents, beauty, wealth, rank, and so forth; disdainful behavior or treatment; insolence or arrogance of demeanor, haughty bearing. (Insights on the Scriptures).

Though this article may sound strange for some, I’m fascinated to tell you that as human being, we have nothing to boast about. No man has any ground for boasting in himself or his accomplishments.

The proud person may not recognize that he is proud. Each person should examine himself and his motives thoroughly to determine whether he has this bad trait. It must be rooted out from one’s personality.

A person who will not get rid of his pride will suffer. I’m not a future reader but I believe, there are evidences written in biblical teachings that there’s something beyond to happen.

History and record of teachings proved there are a number of examples of the crash that proud individuals, dynasties, and nations have suffered. And it is dangerous for keeping the pride to one’s self. It won’t give  happiness in the long run.

LOOK! HOW PRIDE MAY DESTROY

“Yes”, Jesus Christ told the disciples, “I saw Satan falling from heaven as a flash of lightning!”

How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground - mighty though you were against the nations of the world. 

You were the perfection of wisdom and beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; your clothing was bejeweled with every precious stone  all in beautiful settings of gold. They were given to you on the day you were created. I appointed you to be the anointed Guardian Angel. You walked among the 'stones of fire' (angels). 

You were perfect in all you did from the day were created until that time when wrong was found in you. For you said to yourself, "I will ascend to heaven and rule the angels. I will take the highest throne. I will preside on the Mount of Assembly far away in the north. I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High. 

Your great wealth filled you with internal turmoil, and you sinned. Therefore, I cast you out of the mountain of God like a common sinner. I destroyed you, O Guardian Angel, from the midst of the stones of fire. 

Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. Therefore, I have cast you down to the ground and exposed you helpless...

You defiled your holiness with lust for gain; therefore, I brought forth fire from your own actions and let it burn you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all those watching you and ask, 'Can this be the one who destroyed the world and made it into a shambles, who demolished its greatest cities and had no mercy on his prisoners? 

All who know you are appalled at your fate; you are an example of horror; you are destroyed forever. 

Your might and power are gone, they are buried with you. All the pleasant music in your palace has ceased. 👂 Now maggots are your sheets, worms your blanket!
