THE UNBEARABLE PROMISE

This is a true story. I learned the telephone line of heaven is (Jeremiah) 33:3.

The preacher said, “Aren’t you having a good time, Rod?” in a soft and deeply moderate tone voice. “Well, not really -“, I said.

I was watching him open the bible searching for a good message he planned to talk about with me, probably for the day. I myself at early age of 30’s had been searching the Kingdom of God. Along with watching the preacher to open his mouth in front of me, a telescopic heart detecting every expression that crossed his face.

At the sound of his voice, calm, quite, yes, I admit it was both those things, his expression was one of untroubled, so immediate to capture my attention saying, “Rod, you’re lucky today hearing this message from the kingdom of heaven. Lend me your ears.” He shortly glimpsed directly to my eyes and read the book of Jeremiah 33:3…

“Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell you great things beyond the reach of your knowledge.”

It was my first hearing of the verse that opened my heart and my mind, learning God will answer prayers of those who “call to him”. Knowing that He answered one’s pleas, He will also reveal great things which a man do not know, as long as communication line, from here to His abode, is active.

“This is the unbearable promise”, my heart said while my eyes were shrugged off in praying, “God is preparing something awesome for me in the future. Joy and prosperity would be mine. He will be at my side to rebuild me when I’m down.”

Now my eyes turned to the preacher. I looked at him. Seeing his expression, and recognizing it, was stunning, there was strange I felt a push to muscle in my face and my mouth began to open and yell, “Amen”.

And there was light emitting from the mouth of the preacher. I was consoled of the words that gave more illumination of convenience that brightens my faith. And then I saw, his face radiates with light! It dispelled the darkness of ignorance I had. 🏛️
